Give us a wave, ladies!
It's 1947, and the women of Glasgow's Housewives Association are about to enjoy an away day, without their menfolk.
Their pick-up point was at the arches in St Enoch Square, beneath the ramp that led up to the station and hotel. There, their coach awaited. Wonder where they were off to? I suspect Largs or another one of the Clyde coast resorts.
And, don't for a second believe that they were all on their best behaviour; we suspect there would be a fair few half-bottles hidden in those capacious handbags, and they'd all be singing long before they crossed the city boundary.
Enjoy your day out, girls...
